NOTHING BUTT THE SHIRT

FULL CAMPAIGN

Pre-Production / Production / Post-Production

DESCRIPTION

NOTHING BUTT THE SHIRT is a comedic sketch about Johnny (played by BeardMeatsFood), a man who is obsessed with wearing his retro 1992 England football shirt during any international football tournament.

The story is narrated by Jackie, Johnny's wife, through a voice-over that describes Johnny's unwavering dedication to his shirt and the amusing situations that arise from it. Ultimately, it’s revealed that his shirt really is all he wears.

WHY THE AD?

We decided to get creative just in time for Euro 2024 by collaborating with YouTube star BeardMeatsFood, along with BEST Leeds, a premium vintage and streetwear store based in Leeds. Collectively as a team, we scripted, storyboarded, cast, scouted locations, filmed, and edited a hilarious and creative sketch that will get everyone excited for this year’s tournament!

WHAT DID WE DO?

Alongside the talented Marcos Avlonitis (Director of Photography) and Rob Caddy (Photographer), we carefully selected locations, cast the perfect talent, and created scripts, storyboards, and animatics for the two-day shoot.

In production, we used a high-grade RED Cinema Camera and a variety of lighting equipment to create dynamic and cinematic footage. Throughout filming the sketch, Photographer Rob Caddy took an array of staged stills to further add to the campaign.

The sound mix and original score was brilliantly done by Composer Kurt Tomlinson, whose sharp sound design struck the perfect tone.

Lastly, post-production duties were expertly handled by our in-house editor and VFX artist James Carpenter. A beautiful colour grade made the film pop and fully come to life.
